This 18 track compilation compiled by Chris Gill (Northside Records) and Lance Fergusson (The Bamboos) features the best of what Melbourne has to offer the world, whether it’s Deep Funk, Neo Soul, Afrobeat, R&B, Bollywood, Spiritual Jazz or Northern Soul.  Featuring a plethora of HopeStreet artists (The Cactus Channel, The Bombay Royale, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, The PutBacks) the comp also has Saskwatch, Chet Faker, Clairy Browne and the Bangin’ Rackettes, Electric Empire, Hiatus Kaiyote – the list goes on!

So many world class acts that are a testament to the fact that Australia, and particularly Melbourne, is a powerhouse on the global funk and soul scene.  Support some Australian artists today!

    Hi Maggie! We’re not actually stocking them – the infamous Northside Records store is now running a label, and they’re putting it out – we just contributed some tracks. I can ask Chris for you if you like (CD or LP?)
